Lecture 2: Why single sitting Endodontics?
Root canal therapy is one of the most common treatment modalities in any dental practice. The conventional norm for root canal therapy requires the patient to come in for a number of sitting over which access preparation, debridement and biomechanical preparation is done followed by an obturation after a series of sittings of intracanal medicaments. This lecture is a paradigm shift and will give the reasoning and rationale for carrying out root canal therapy from start to finish in just one sitting. It will expound on the necessary methods to be used to enable the clinician to carry out a single sitting root canal treatment in a predictable and successful manner.
